    Top Pitchers

Justin Verlander ($11300 FanDuel, $13000 DraftKings)
The Astros are at home tonight facing the Texas Rangers who currently have the lowest implied total on the slate at 2.9 implied runs. Justin Verlander has arguably been playing the best baseball of his career at the ripe young age of 35. So far this season his SwStr% is 14.4% (career best) along with a 35% K rate (also a career best) and a 5.5% walk rate (career best again). He’s been giving up a lot of fly balls with a 60% FB rate but only a 24% hard contact rate and despite the fact that all 4 of the HR’s he’s given up this season have been at home I am really very interested in having Verlander at my pitcher tonight especially with his history against the Rangers. Their projected lineup has had 207 PA’s against Justin Verlander and managed 5 HR’s, that 1 every 41.4 PA’s.

Sonny Gray ($6400 FanDuel, $6700 DraftKings)
If Gary Sanchez is behind the plate just pretend I never said any of this. Jumping on the Sonny Gray revenge game narrative tonight against the A’s who profile as potential high strikeout matchup for Gray as they are striking out 25.8% of the time against righties on the road so far this season. He’s had his struggles at Yankee Stadium but put together a really solid outing last time out with Romine behind the plate. In 45.1 IP pitching to Austin Romine his ERA is only 2.78 with an opponent OPS of just .632. For comparison with El Gary “passed ball” Sanchez behind the plate his ERA is 5.94 with an opponent OPS of .815. Pretty straightforward that Gray needs to be written off as a P2 option on DK if Sanchez is catching but if its Romine then he comes one of it not my favourite P2 option on tonight's slate over on DK.

Other P options: Max Scherzer, Tyler Skaggs, Luke Weaver

    Top Stacks

    Cleveland Indians
The Tribe is at Progressive Field tonight taking on the 0-4 Jason Hammel who has struggled on the road this season with an xFIP of 5.41, 9.4% walk rate and overall on the season he's been allowing 43% hard contact paired with a 36% FB rate. Cleveland has been hitting very well against righties at Progressive this year with a team wOBA of .362. Hammel has struggled equally against both sides of the plate so looking at BvP the first player I like is Edwin Encarnacion who is 9 for 35 with a double and 5 home runs off of Hamel. There are 5 other players who have managed 1 HR off Hammel but I am not going to base the rest of my stack on that, just going to look towards the top of the lineup so, Lindor, Kipnis and Ramirez would be 3 others to consider.

    Atlanta Braves
The Baby Braves are at Marlins Park again tonight getting the face righty Dan Straily who has not been great through his first 2 starts this season. So far he has just a 7.7% K rate with a 20.5% walk rate. 42% hard contact along with a 44.4% FB rate is a recipe for disaster for this hard hitting Braves lineup. All the usual suspects are in play here, the top 4 of the order in Albies, Acuna, Freeman and Markakis as well as Inciarte who has been hitting the ball well and has really nice base stealing upside.

    Houston Astros
The Astros are back at the juicebox tonight taking on Cole Hamels and the Rangers. This matchup is just a BvP believers wet dream but first I’ll talk about why targeting against Cole Hamels might be a good idea. He really just isnt missing a whole lot of bats right now, 46.5% hard contact rate with a 1.77 HR/9. BvP is just… its good. George Springer has already hit 2 HR’s off of Hamels this season and both Brian McCann and Evan Gattis have 3 career HR’s off Hamels as well. If you’re into BvP those are guys I would definitely consider playing.

Other stack options: Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, LA Angels

Chris Sale ($11500 FanDuel, $13500 DraftKings)
Not exactly a hot take playing Chris Sale at the Trop tonight but we’re going to do it. Sale’s SwStr% is already an obscene 16.2% with just a 67% contact rate, he doesn’t give up a lot of hard contact but he does give up fly balls. Despite the fact the Rays haven’t

Gio Gonzalez ($8800 FanDuel, $11900 DraftKings)
Taking another pitcher against the San Diego Padres isn’t an original play but its likely the play tonight with Gio on the mound for the Nats in DC. The Padres have been miserable on the road against LHP with a 29% K rate and a .266 wOBA. Gio currently has a 10.2% SwStr% and an ERA

Big price drop for DeGrom after pitching just 1 inning in his last outing against the Phillies but I expect a normal PC for him tonight. Picking on the Diamondback again tonight who have struggled against right handed pitching this season with a .286 wOBA which ranks 3rd

Cole Hamels ($8800 FanDuel, $10800 DraftKings)
No true ace pitchers on tonight's slate so we’re looking at Cole Hamels as the top option on the slate. He currently has a 25% K rate, 9.3% walk rate, and 1.57 HR/9 which off the top dont seem very good but all those numbers improve on the road to a 28.5% K rate, 8.9% walk rate, and
