    Cumulative Picks (2018-19) - #Picks - 18, #Tournaments - 3, Winner - 1, Top 5 - 3 (16.67%), Top 10 - 4 (22.22%), Top 25 - 8 (44.44%), Made Cut - 17 (94.44%)

    Brief Tournament Information
    • Another limited field event with 78 golfers. Much stronger field as it is a WGC event.
    • NO CUT EVENT
    • Justin Rose won by two strokes last year at -14. The average finish since 2013 is -18.
    • Similar to last week, scoring on the par 5s will be essential. With it being a no cut event birdies will be important. Looking at the winners over the last five years, four of the five are bombers. I will look to the longer ball strikers who can keep it on the fairway. As usual, T2G and SG:APP are always important every week.
    • Lock is WEDNESDAY NIGHT!

    My Top Picks This Week

    DK - Above 10k

Justin Rose (DK $11200, FD $12100, Odds 8/1) - As with most weeks, you can argue for any of the top golfers. This week I’m going with the defending champion who has been on monster wave of elite form going T8 or better in his last four events both on the PGA and Euro Tours. He is elite in all stat categories in this field. I can easily see going back-to-back wins.

    DK - 9k

Tony Finau (DK $9900, FD $10800, Odds 18/1) - Another staple of my picks is Tony Finau who is also in superb recent form. In his last five events over the last nine weeks he has finished no worse than T15 and has four top 10s. Obviously, his stats are elite in this field, and he finished T11 last year. He is a good place to start if your thinking of going contrarian and fading the golfers above 10k.

    DK - 8k

Patrick Cantlay (DK $8800, FD $10600, Odds 35/1) - Cantlay had a fantastic season and started the fall swing well with a T17 at the Safeway. He did finish well last year with a T15 so he has upside. He ranks in the top third in all stat categories this week so I see no reason why he cannot match and exceed last year finish.

Adam Scott (DK $8400, FD $10100, Odds 50/1) - Right at average salary is Scott who has found some new confidence in his long putter. He has been playing better including at T10 last week. He is top third in all stat categories this week. His only blemish is he only has one top 6 performance in seven starts at the HSBC Champions. But he is a great value and can you some salary.

    DK - 7k and below

Kyle Stanley (DK $7600, FD $9000, Odds 70/1) - Going with Stanley for three weeks in a row might be a cop out but I’m hoping that his less than stellar finish last might keep people off of him. He is still and excellent ball striker and keeps it in the fairway. He has four top 15s in his last eight events including a runner up at the WGC Bridgestone. He also finished T5 last year. Don’t jump off the Stanley train quite yet.

Julien Suri (DK $7000, FD $8400, Odds 125/1) - Suri is an up and coming American golfer who was primarily playing on the Euro Tour but has made splashes on the PGA Tour. He only missed one cut last year in eight events played on tour but has two top 19 finishes. He is top third in all stat categories this week and I think he can play well here and make value with a top 20 performance.

Anyway, I hope that this helps you in your own process to select your golfers for this week. Please leave me any questions, comments, suggestions or any rants and touts you would like to discuss either here on DFSChat.com, on twitter @algertorr, or on DK/FD/FDR jayalger. Good luck this week and hope one (or more) of you readers take down a GPP!
